This role develops network, voice, data, and security architectures while maintaining extensive expertise in LAN and WAN technologies. The Senior Network Engineer is responsible for the provisioning, configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware, software, and related infrastructure, ensuring reliability and performance. The position leads technical research and innovation efforts, ensures systems and procedures align with organizational strategies and values, and provides mentorship and technical leadership to less-experienced petencies:Advanced understanding of network engineering concepts, including routing, switching, firewalls, load balancing, VPNs, and network security.Ability to swiftly learn new technologies and translate them into working processes and solutions.Strong troubleshooting abilities with experience resolving complex, multi-layered technical issues.Ability to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences.Demonstrated ability to provide clear, consistent, and timely updates to stakeholders.Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across teams, share knowledge, and support cross-functional projects.Ability to lead team members on technical issues and guide others through problem resolution.Demonstrated ability to advance project timelines, manage priorities, and drive initiatives to completion.Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, each with varying requirements and constraints.Capability to work independently with minimal supervision while also excelling in team environments.Strong analytical thinking with the ability to evaluate system performance, identify root causes, and develop effective solutions.Ability to prioritize and triage issues based on business impact and urgency.Ability to adapt to evolving technologies, business needs, and organizational mitment to continuous learning and process improvement.Ability to develop and refine engineering processes to enhance team efficiency and communication.Qualifications:Education:Bachelor’s degree preferred.Certifications:CCNP, CCIE, or other industry certifications are a plus.Experience:7-9 years of experience in network industry.Experience with network automationExperience with Firewall technologies design, implementation, and maintenance. (Cisco, Fortinet and Palo Alto)Experience with Router and Switch technologies design, implementation, and maintenance. (Cisco, Juniper, and Brocade)Experience with cabling and physical network infrastructureExperience with Cloud (Azure, AWS)Experience with IP Management ToolsExperience with change management processes and toolsExperienced in overseeing and executing large projectsPhysical Requirements:Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.Ability to use hands and fingers to operate standard office equipment, network tools, and computer hardware.Ability to lift, carry, and move equipment or materials up to 25 pounds (e.g., servers, switches, cabling).Ability to bend, crouch, reach, and climb short ladders when installing or maintaining hardware in racks or network closets.Ability to visually inspect hardware, cables, and network equipment for installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.Ability to remain on-call and, at times, work outside normal business hours to support critical system needs, upgrades, or emergencies.Mental Requirements:Ability to sustain concentration for extended periods when monitoring systems, reviewing logs, or performing detailed configuration work.Ability to process large volumes of technical information and remain attentive to potential risks or discrepancies.Ability to manage occasional high-pressure situations, such as system outages or urgent escalations, while maintaining composure and clear thinking.Ability to shift between tasks that require both strategic planning and tactical execution.Ability to adapt to unexpected changes in workload, project timelines, or operational priorities.Ability to exercise discretion when handling sensitive system information or security-related data.Ability to maintain mental organization and accuracy when working with multiple configuration sets, network layers, or concurrent projects.Ability to participate in an on-call rotation and respond to after-hours issues that require rapid cognitive engagement.Ability to interpret and follow technical procedures, diagrams, and documentation with precision.Work Environment:The work is primarily performed in a professional office setting within a manufacturing environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printers, and related peripherals.
