That means making sure we have the best team available who believe that taking care of our staff is just as important to us as taking care of our patients.Qualifications of theTransportation Driver:One (1) year experience operating a Company vehicle.Must possess class C driver’s license.Must have a CNA licenseMust demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to schedule and dispatch appropriate transportation to the age-related needs of the residents served.Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.Must possess the knowledge and ability to understand budgetory requirements and maintain appropriate PAR levels related to resident suppliesJob requires minor lifting, walking, and bending.Responsibilities of theTransportation Driver:Transport residents to medical appointments and recreational activities according to established schedules and allotted times.Assistresidents entering and exiting thefacility’s vehicle.Drivefacility’s vehicle to events and activities outside thefacility, as necessary.Coordinate withfacility medical and nursing personnelregardingtransporting residents to scheduled medical appointments.Coordinate with Activities Director and Activities Assistantregardingtransporting residents to scheduled activities.Ensure that emergency equipment (i.e.,triangles, fire extinguisher, and first-aid kit)isavailable and in good working condition.Recommend to yoursupervisor the equipment and supply needs for the Facility’s vehicle.Assistin the moving and arranging of equipment and supplies to assure that the Facility’s vehicle is ready for scheduled appointments and activities.Maintain anincidentandaccident-freedriving record.
