Account Manager - Donor RecruitmentNewark, DEJoin our life saving mission!Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:30AM-4:30PM: Possible Evenings/Weekends as neededTravel Reimbursement for mileage/tolls***Full Benefits***The Account Manager position is responsible for developing and organizing new blood drive partnerships with community businesses, churches, schools and other sponsors. This individual will use a consultative sales process to cultivate new relationships while growing existing accounts. In this role, the Account Manager will function as the brand ambassador for BBD’s mission and help educate the public about the importance of blood donation. This position is considered “essential” during severe weather or emergency operation events.Plan and implement effective strategies to recruit, retain and manage blood drive partners to achieve established monthly blood collection goals. Develop recruitment plans to ensure blood drives achieve collection goals while adhering to drive projections, efficiency and donor registration guidelines.Develop strategic plans and forecasting to manage territory to meet growth objectives with focus on critical periods. Initiate, develop and maintain relationships with new and existing blood drive partners. Identify new blood drive partnership and market expansion opportunities. Develop plans and measurements to track weekly, monthly and quarterly progress.Foster and promote a consultative, interactive sales process by using your passion and knowledge for blood donation to educate the community about the importance of blood donation.Promote BBD’s marketing and donor programs to help acquire new drive partners.Educate and provide ongoing support to drive coordinators, volunteers and staff on blood drive processes such as donor eligibility, how to recruit donors and day-of-drive protocols.Function as a steward of the BBD brand by increasing visibility and participation in community events, chambers and member organizations. As a subject matter expert on blood industry topics, you may speak at conferences or relevant industry/interest group meetings.Ability to work a non-traditional schedule, which may include evenings and weekends.Ability to travel at least 70% of the time.Other duties as needed.Exemplifies BBD’s Customer Service Mission and Core Values.Education:Bachelor’s Degree in sales, marketing, or communications OR equivalent combination of related education and experience2+ years B2B sales - preferably managing a book of business in a territoryExperience:Excellent oral and written communication, including training and presentation skillsStrong time management and project management skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks and demandsAbility to travel at least 70% of the timeAbility to work a non-traditional schedule which may include evenings and weekendsLicenses / Certifications:Valid Driver’s LicenseFounded in 1954, Blood Bank of Delmarva (BBD) has served the Delmarva Peninsula for 70 years, delivering nearly 90,000 lifesaving blood products annually to 40+ hospitals, EMS and healthcare partners.
