PSAE Dock Leader

Location: _Puyallup_ Schedule: _first shift_ Pay: _$28.00_ Overview We are seeking a reliable and motivated Distribution Dock Lead (DDL) to provide first-line leadership to a team of distribution employees. This role is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations within designated areas, including unloading, picking/putaway, loading, storage, and more. The DDL ensures productivity, accuracy, safety, and service excellence while training and supporting team members. This position works closely with facility leadership and participates in a personal development plan to strengthen leadership skills and support tasks assigned by the Distribution Operations Manager. The DDL will also serve as backup for the Operations Manager as needed. Key Responsibilities + Lead daily operational activities in assigned warehouse areas. + Assign tasks to distribution associates to ensure efficient workflow. + Support the Distribution Operations Manager in meeting SQDC targets. + Monitor trailer and product flow to maintain operational efficiency. + Identify bottlenecks, set priorities, and develop alternative solutions. + Ensure compliance with all workplace safety standards and guidelines. + Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean principles. + Maintain Facility Leadership Boards and support other leadership tasks. + Provide training, coaching, and support to team members. + Foster a safe, productive, and customer-focused work environment. + Serve as backup for the Operations Manager when required. Skills & Abilities + Strong written and verbal communication skills. + Excellent organization, prioritization, and problem-solving abilities. + Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to train and mentor others. + Ability to multitask and follow through on deadlines. + Comfortable working with all levels of management and warehouse staff. + Ability to work flexible hours based on business needs. + Capable of extremely heavy lifting throughout the shift (up to 100 lbs) and working inside trailers. Education & Experience + High school diploma or equivalent required. + Minimum of 3 years of warehouse or distribution experience preferred.
