Maintenance Technician

Job Title: Maintenance Technician Job Description The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing both preventive and reactive maintenance duties essential for the manufacturing operations of the plant. Key priorities include executing preventive maintenance schedules, repairing equipment to maintain maximum production rates, and managing an adequate spare parts inventory. Responsibilities + Execute preventive maintenance schedules to ensure optimal equipment functionality. + Perform repairs on equipment to maintain maximum production rates. + Maintain an adequate inventory of spare parts to support ongoing operations. + Troubleshoot and resolve issues with PLCs, electrical systems, and controls. + Conduct maintenance on AC & DC drives/motors, including wiring, programming, and troubleshooting. + Utilize electrical test equipment such as voltmeters, ammeters, ohm meters, and meggers for diagnostics. + Train in motion control systems with servo drives and motors. + Perform welding tasks as required. Essential Skills + 4+ years of experience in industrial maintenance, electrical systems, and controls. + Proficiency in 3 Phase Industrial wiring and power distribution. + Experience with AC & DC Drive/Motor preventive maintenance, wiring, programming, and troubleshooting. + 2+ years of experience in PLC troubleshooting. + Proficient in using electrical test equipment such as voltmeters, ammeters, ohm meters, and meggers. + Experience with motion training involving servo drives and motors. + Advanced skills in industrial mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems, including troubleshooting. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Proficiency in electrical formulas and mechanical math + Certifications or courses in electrical, hydraulics, or pneumatic maintenance preferred Why Work Here? Work Environment This position operates during the 3rd shift from 11pm to 7:30am, with a shift premium of $1.50 for off-shift hours. The work environment is a traditional manufacturing setting, which is non-climate controlled and can be loud due to large machinery Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Mendota, IL.
