Job Title: 2nd Shift Welder Job Description Join a team dedicated to manufacturing high-quality trailers for military and commercial applications. With a recently secured $50 million contract and additional work extending through 2035, this role is vital in ensuring top-notch production standards. As a 2nd Shift Welder, you will fit parts to print and MIG weld using weld symbols from technical drawings. Quality checks are an integral part of your role, using tools such as micrometers, calipers, and tape measures. All welds undergo inspection by a quality inspector before dispatch, and certification will be provided upon hiring. Upholding the Department of Defense's quality standards is crucial. Responsibilities + Fit parts to specifications using technical drawings. + Perform MIG welding based on weld symbols. + Conduct quality checks using micrometers, calipers, and tape measures. + Grind and sand down welds as necessary. + Ensure all welds meet quality standards before inspection. + Become certified in welding upon hiring. Essential Skills + Proficient in MIG welding with over 2 years of experience on mild steel. + Ability to read and interpret blueprints and weld symbols. + Experience with TIG welding and fabrication. Work Environment Experience a friendly workplace culture in a small-town setting, primarily populated by farmers and former farmers. The facility consists of two buildings: an older, somewhat noisy building for steel welding and a newer, cleaner building for assembly, painting, and TIG welding. The 2nd shift runs from 3:45 PM to 1:45 AM, Monday through Thursday, with initial training on the 1st shift for at least a week. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Bear Creek, WI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $29.00/hr.
