Sr. Accountant

Description We are looking for a skilled Senior Accountant to join our team in Red Bank, New Jersey. In this role, you will play a critical part in managing accounting operations and ensuring compliance within the asset management industry. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to financial reporting, fund analysis, and process improvements. Responsibilities: u2022 Manage daily and monthly accounting processes for multiple investment portfolios and funds. u2022 Prepare and review calculations, reconciliations, and financial statements in alignment with industry standards. u2022 Ensure adherence to regulatory guidelines and maintain robust internal controls. u2022 Coordinate and support audit procedures while acting as a key liaison with external auditors, fund administrators, and custodians. u2022 Conduct performance analysis for funds and collaborate with portfolio managers to address variances. u2022 Drive initiatives to streamline processes, improving efficiency and accuracy in reporting. u2022 Partner with leadership to deliver timely and insightful financial data. u2022 Oversee fund management activities, ensuring effective reporting and compliance. u2022 Monitor and update accounting systems to accommodate evolving business needs. Salary/Benefits: $110,000 - 125,000 annual salary + medical + dental + vision + 401k + paid time off Requirements u2022 Bacheloru2019s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA certification or progress toward CPA is highly desirable. u2022 Minimum of 4 years of accounting experience, particularly in asset management, private equity, hedge funds, or mutual funds. u2022 Strong understanding of fund structures, calculations, and investment reporting. u2022 Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with fund administration platforms. u2022 Exceptional attention to detail, organizational capabilities, and analytical skills. u2022 Proven ability to communicate effectively and build strong relationships across teams. u2022 Knowledge of month-end close processes, general ledger management, and reconciliations. u2022 Familiarity with fund accounting and real estate fund operations is a plus.
