Job Title: Procurement Specialist Job Description The Procurement Specialist oversees daily procurement activities to ensure the timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials, supplies, and services. This role involves executing all day-to-day procurement tasks for the production of folding bellows and series-level articulation systems. The Specialist is responsible for managing purchase orders for direct and indirect commodities in an ERP system, including capital investments, chemicals, contracting services such as powder coating and anodizing, metal and machining products, non-inventory items, office supplies, professional services, and rubber parts. Responsibilities + Manage and process purchase orders in the ERP system, including changes, confirmations, and cancellations. + Ensure adherence to the MRP strategy to prevent stock-outs while minimizing inventory levels. + Implement lean manufacturing and just-in-time inventory methodologies. + Optimize MRP parameters and make necessary adjustments to safety-stock, reorder levels, carrying costs, and lead & lag times. + Perform purchase order confirmation verifications and processing in the ERP System. + Rate suppliers based on on-time delivery performance. + Provide interface support on production planning and inventory reconciliation. + Track deliveries from international and domestic vendors daily. + Source and investigate new suppliers within the area. Essential Skills + Proficiency in SAP, planning, purchasing, and ERP systems. + Strong inventory management and purchasing skills. + Proficient in Microsoft Excel. + Experience in purchasing raw materials and project management. Additional Skills & Qualifications + High School Diploma or GED required. + Manufacturing experience required. + Familiarity with SAP ERP/MRP applications desired. + CPM certification desired. + German language skills would be a plus. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $58000.00 - $65000.00/yr.
