Requisition ID: 179901 Job Level: Entry Level Home District/Group: Kiewit Power Constructors District Department: Quality Market: Power Employment Type: Full Time Position Overview As a member of the Project Management Team it is your responsibility for reporting to management all issues related to the projects quality performance on a regular basis. Quality performance is defined as quality program implementation, inherence to procedures and policy, nonconformances, rework, customer concerns or complaints and corrective actions. Lead and manage the quality effort to include quality assurance and control activities and personnel. Act as liaison to customers, vendors and subcontractors in regards to quality. District Overview Kiewit Power Constructors (KPC) provides direct-hire construction services for Power Generation utilizing a union craft force. Kiewit Power Constructors builds major EPC and bid-build natural gas power plants, solar fields, and energy storage systems throughout North America. All of Kiewit Power is committed to Kiewitu2019s u201cNobody Gets Hurtu201d Philosophy. Location Although we are based in Lenexa, KS, our Power districts have projects that span across the entire US. Our projects may be built in large cities, small towns, or very remote locations, so our people must be willing to go where the work is. Job assignment location will be determined closer to your start date. Candidate must be open to traveling and relocating as business requires. Responsibilities u2022 Promote and maintain effective communications and relations (verbally and in writing) with district management, project management teams and engineers/clients as required. u2022 Examine and inspect field conditions and identify problems, inaccuracies and cost saving measures that arise or that may be encountered; take corrective action as needed. u2022 Identify potential safety hazards and take all necessary corrective actions to eliminate or minimize them. u2022 Maintain a thorough knowledge of the Kiewit Quality Management System and procedures and promote standardization. u2022 Manage Welding Procedure Specification log and files for assigned districts.. u2022 Assist in conducting project quality audits and reports. Qualifications u2022 At least four yearsu2019 engineering or science degree or technical college degree plus two yearsu2019 experience in related construction field u2022 Must be able to clearly communicate the status of quality on a project. u2022 Excellent communication and technical writing skills, ability to research and work with detailed/technical matters and convey/explain the information to field personnel u2022 Ability to work in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and SharePoint software programs as well as able to quickly learn other software applications u2022 Strong organizational skills and the ability to perform a variety of tasks with deadlines and potentially frequent interruptions Other Requirements: u2022 Regular, reliable attendance u2022 Work productively and meet deadlines timely u2022 Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment u2022 Perform work safely and effectively. Work overtime and weekends as required. u2022 May work at various different locations and conditions may vary.
