Job Description

As a Citi Private Bank (CPB) Deposit & Treasury Management Sales Specialist, you will work closely with Private Banker teams within your designated coverage region to assist in generating new business from prospective clients and deepening and supporting existing clients. Responsibilities include consulting with clients, understanding their Deposit & Treasury Management needs and positioning solutions which help them improve and streamline their business banking operations. This person will be in constant contact with CPB Banker Teams as well as directly with our clients in a product sales capacity. Excellent sales and product skills are required, as well as exhibiting a high degree of professionalism at all times. The successful candidate must possess knowledge of general business banking, treasury management tools and deposit product solutions. Objectives/Fundamental Responsibilities: u2022 Provide deposit & treasury management product sales expertise to private banker teams within your coverage area to assist in retaining and generating new banking depository and treasury management business from prospective private bank clients u2022 Directly interface with the client CFOs, CEOs, Controllers, Treasurers & Accounting Staff u2022 Understand & evaluate clientsu2019 business needs by employing a consultative sales approach to determine their requirements and recommend solutions u2022 Evoke meaningful discussions with clients around their critical issues and propose integrated treasury management and depository solutions u2022 Knowledge of liquidity & rate environment with ability to explain to clients and understand impact on banku2019s balance sheet u2022 Full engagement & execution on all Strategic Business Development Initiatives u2022 Nurture and deepen existing private bank client relationships u2022 Conduct banker portfolio and client relationship reviews to generate new business u2022 Prepare and present competitor statement analyses and product proposals u2022 Ongoing travel to CPB offices within your designated coverage area u2022 Support any Proposal & RFP bidding processes u2022 Proactively keep CPB offices and clients abreast of new products, enhancements, and industry developments u2022 Create and maintain a solid working relationship with the overall banking deposits, pricing & product management team including sharing of ideas and feedback. Qualifications: u2022 Possess a minimum of 10 years of treasury management, banking, and client interfacing experience u2022 Previous work experience as an implementation manager, sales associate or sales specialist in Private Banking / Wealth Management a plus u2022 B.A./B.S.(required) u2022 MBA a plus u2022 Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) designation or willingness to pursue (a plus) u2022 Have knowledge of Treasury Management products, banking & the client sales cycle u2022 Treasury management experience with Financial Firms, Real Estate, Family Office, Private Equity firms u2022 High degree of professionalism u2022 Knowledge of and ability to structure and position depository solutions u2022 Strong written, listening & verbal communication skills u2022 Excellent consultative selling & negotiation ability u2022 Attention to detail and consistent follow-up skills u2022 Proficiency in MS Office, Salesforce CRM, internet applications & pipeline reporting systems Education Level: Bachelor's Degree Primary Location: NAM-USA-Dallas TX, Houston TX Schedule: Full-time Shift: Day Job Employee Status: Regular Travel: Yes, up to 50% of the time ------------------------------------------------------ Job Family Group: Private Client Product Services ------------------------------------------------------ Job Family: Banking Cash Management ------------------------------------------------------ Time Type: Full time ------------------------------------------------------ Primary Location: Houston Texas United States ------------------------------------------------------ Primary Location Full Time Salary Range: $169,600.00 - $254,400.00 In addition to salary, Citiu2019s offerings may also include, for eligible employees, discretionary and formulaic incentive and retention awards.
