Primary Purpose This role depends on consistent, precise, and reliable data execution to support operational integrity, regulatory compliance, and data accuracy across the organization. This position will also work in partnership with project and automation leads on initiatives to improve gas asset data workflows, accuracy, and efficiency. Primary Duties + Performs specialized duties associated with the management of gas, electric and pole asset records to ensure compliance with PSC and COMAR regulations. Maintains and updates data in the Distribution Management Information System (DMIS), Asset Suite 8 (AS8), CC&B, the Smallworld GIS system and other associated systems of record. + Performs QA of similar work performed by contractors. Additionally, verifies existence, service status, and location of gas and electric equipment and makes necessary modifications to the systems of record. + Traces overhead phasing, determines direction of flow and locates taps and checks fusing on 4, 13 and 34kV circuits in systems of record. Provides support to the pole attachment program (permitting, billing), Outage Management System (data fixes) and PSC Audits of BGE gas system records. + Utilizes independent judgment and analysis to resolve data integrity discrepancies between various systems of record (AS8, CC&B, Atlas GIS), works from error listings to resolve data conflicts between systems. + Contacts engineers, project managers and field personnel to establish correct configuration in field. + Performs field visits as needed. + Provides designers, contractors, and others training on correct use of required documentation for recording assets in the systems of record. + Manages the daily activities of the joint pole ownership and billing programs; and independently resolves program related billing issues. Job Scope NA Minimum Qualifications + Demonstrated knowledge of electric and gas distribution systems. + Demonstrated knowledge of the AS8, CC&B, DMIS and Smallworld GIS Systems. + Demonstrated ability to interpret construction drawings, construction information and contracts. + Demonstrated proficiency in oral and written communication skills appropriate to a professional business environment. + Demonstrated analytical skills, accuracy and attention to detail. + Demonstrated proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office products. + High school diploma and four years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience. Preferred Qualifications + Gas distribution utility experience. + Experience maintaining data quality integrity and resolving data conflicts between systems. + Demonstrated ability to utilize independent judgement and analysis to resolve data integrity discrepancies between various systems of record (AS8, CC&B, LocusView, Documentum, and GIS Smallworld). + Ability to interpret field ticket data.
