Preferences: + Masteru2019s Degree in Anthropology, Archaeology, or related field. + GIS experience. + Public speaking experience. + Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and Adobe software (Photoshop and Illustrator). + Technical archaeological experience including report writing, data management, laboratory management, cataloging, artifact documentation. Duties and Responsibilities: + Assist in cultural resource reconna i ssance surveys conducted on state-owned lands and assist in report writing. + Conduct laboratory analysis of artifacts, including washing, sorting, cataloging, and secondary analyses. + Process and track applications for Archaeological Research (1A-32) Permits. + Assist with the Archaeological Resource Management (ARM) training. + Assist in collecting data for damage assessments. + Manage archaeological supplies and equipment, keeping them well maintained and organized. + Assist the public and other state workers with inquiries, questions, problems, etc. that relate to cultural resources on state lands. + Perform other related duties as required . Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: + Able to lift at least 50 pounds. + Able to work in rough terrain in sometimes harsh conditions. + Willing to travel. + Strong computer literacy focused on the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.), Adobe, ESRI.
