The Assistant Director of Administration and Operations (ADAO) of theCSD will be responsible for supervising the internal operations of theDepartment including direct supervision of the AdministrativeCoordinator. The ADAO will work closely with the Director of CSD inorder to ensure smooth operations for the alternative response programon a day-to-day basis. Additionally, the ADAO will work closely with theDirector to ensure the seamless implementation of Department policies,strategic plans, data collection systems and daily operations of theteams across the Department. The ADAO works with the Director to set thetone in creating a work culture of compassion, learning, mutual respectand humor. The ADAO will lead by example in valuing the experiences andperspectives of all members of the team. The ideal candidate will beflexible, adaptable, eager to learn, willing to give and receivedirection with comfort and ready to lead an innovative approach topublic safety. Provide direct supervision to theAdministrative Coordinator Support the Director in the creation andmanagement of the department budget Ensure the implementation andmonitoring of policies and procedures Ensure the implementation andmonitoring of internal software systems Oversee resource and supplyprocurement, management, and provisioning Oversee all data collection,analysis, and reporting for the department Support the strategicplanning activities of the department and programs with the primary goalof ensuring ongoing effectiveness Play a key role in developing andevaluating key performance metrics for the department Support theanalysis, research and implementation of increasing the scope of CSDover time Lead or support administrative and operational projects andother improvement efforts Promote, model and lead change in establishingan anti-racism, anti-oppression culture and undertake efforts to promotea safe and inclusive environment for LGBTQIA+ and other identities.Support the ongoing development and implementation of a comprehensivetraining program for staff Support all talent acquisition, talentmanagement, onboarding, and offboarding processes Create and maintainstrong working relationships with other Community Safety Departmentsacross the country Ensure coordination with various consultantsproviding assistance to the CSD Other duties as needed Reasonableaccommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities toperform the essential functions.Education/Experience/License/Certification Master's degree in Business,Public Policy, Public Health, or related field Five (5) years ofexperience in managing social service programs, behavioral healthservices or crisis management services in a supervisory capacity.Experience managing budgets, strategic plans, data analysis plans andprogram evaluation Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Strong communicationskills, including presentation and negotiation. Understanding ofcommunity mental health services, psychiatric rehabilitation, andviolence prevention concepts Sensitivity to multicultural populationsand their experiences and perspectives. Knowledge of principles ofcommunity safety and experience coordinating resources and services intothe community to achieve department and program goals. Must be CPR andFirst Aid certified on date of employment or within 60 days ofemployment and maintain current certification throughout employment.Full job description:
