Purchasing Assistant

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Purchasing Assistant to join our growing team in Sarasota, Florida. This Contract to permanent position offers an opportunity to support essential purchasing operations while gaining valuable experience in vendor coordination and project documentation. The role is ideal for someone who is organized, proactive, and eager to contribute to the success of construction and procurement projects. Responsibilities: u2022 Request and update vendor pricing to ensure accurate and current information is available. u2022 Maintain and organize project vendor lists and product feature records. u2022 Communicate pricing updates and design modifications to relevant teams effectively. u2022 Ensure project plans are up-to-date and accessible to stakeholders. u2022 Prepare comprehensive product binders and documentation for new construction projects. u2022 Process purchase orders, change orders, and notices to proceed promptly and accurately. u2022 Manage vendor paperwork and contract files, keeping them organized and complete. u2022 Investigate and resolve discrepancies in invoices or purchase orders efficiently. u2022 Assist in the preparation of bid packages for upcoming projects. u2022 Support office organization by maintaining accurate project documentation and records. Requirements u2022 Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail. u2022 Experience in coordinating with vendors and managing related paperwork. u2022 Familiarity with purchase orders, vendor coordination, or construction/purchasing support is preferred. u2022 Ability to handle multiple tasks while ensuring documentation accuracy. u2022 Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with various teams. u2022 Proficiency in purchasing functions and activities. u2022 Capability to resolve discrepancies in purchase orders or invoices. u2022 Knowledge of merchant services or purchasing department operations is a plus.
