Now Hiring Press Assistant in York, PA First Shift Opportunity Pay: $19.50/hour ufeff Job Description We are seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Press Assistants. This is an entry-level position that requires no previous printing experience, offering a fantastic opportunity to enter the printing industry and grow into a Press Operator role. Responsibilities + Assist Press Operators in setup, make-ready, and clean-up activities. + Change labels from one job to another efficiently. + Clean ink pans and other ancillary equipment as needed. + Strip plates from cylinders accurately. + Follow all quality assurance checks diligently. + Differentiate colors on labels and utilize a ruler for various measurements. + Participate actively in all department meetings, process improvement events, and trainings/safety sessions. + Be capable of lifting up to 50 pounds at various times. + Stand and move around for extended periods of time. Essential Skills + General production experience is a plus. + Ability to stand for long periods. + Proficiency in reading and using a ruler. + Basic production and tape measure skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Ability to input data into a computer when required. + Skill in differentiating colors and labels. + Competence in reading and understanding job tickets. Work Environment The work environment offers three shifts: 1st shift from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., 2nd shift from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. with a $1 shift differential, and 3rd shift from 11 p.m. to 7 a.m. with a $2 shift differential. Employees are paid for 8 hours, including a 30-minute lunch break and two 10-minute breaks. The York plant, part of the largest label manufacturer globally, employs about 225 full-time staff and specializes in extended content labels for pharmaceutical products. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of York, PA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.50 - $19.50/hr.
