JOB REQUIREMENTS: Summary The Grounds and Facilities Specialist willwork closely with the Director of Facilities to provide students andstaff with safe and clean facilities and grounds. Essential Duties andResponsibilities The position will work with facility staff to perform avariety of semi-skilled and skilled building trades and groundskeepingwork repairing and maintaining facilities, grounds, and equipment forCatholic Memorial High School (CMH) and Catholic Memorial Athletics(CMA). This role will have direct accountability for maintaining andservicing CMA, the offsite athletics campus. Responsibilities includebut not limited to: 1. Perform regular lighting maintenance i.e.,changing lights, ballast replacement, etc. 2. Maintain exterior ofbuildings and outdoor seating, insuring clean physical surroundings. 3.Monitor all campus equipment to ensure it is functioning properly. 4.Assist with all required inspections for equipment and property. 5.Assist with seasonal startup and shut down of athletic campus buildingsand field water system. 6. Primary work during summer months will befocused on the Athletic Campus. 7. Assist with snow removal and lawncare when necessary. 8. Assist with completing projects in a safe andefficient matter to include transporting and/or securing materials. 9.Coordinate with skilled tradesmen and/or assigned supervisor to completeprojects and work efficiently. 10. Perform a wide variety of general andsemi-skilled maintenance activities within established periods,including and not limited to carpentry, painting, electrical, plumbing,HVAC. 11. Able to correctly operate and maintain equipment, specificallylawn tractor, snow blower and bus fleet. 12. Utilize computers and/orelectronic equipment to fulfill job functions. 13. Participate inrequired meetings, in-service, and workshop programs. 14. Assist withthe operations and coordination regarding school bus fleet. 15. Otherduties as assigned. OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Qualifications Toperform this job successfully, an individual must be able to performeach essential duty satisfactorily. High School Diplomaor GED equivalent. 2. Hold and maintain a valid Wisconsin driver'slicense for the type of equipment to be driven with safe driving recordand current insurance. Use of a personal vehicle may be necessary forrunning errands. 3. Completion of school safeguarding class or obtaincertification prior to start date. 4. Complete all pre-employmentrequirements including a physical. 5. Ability to work evenings,weekends, and extended hours as needed. Hours to be determined. 6.Demonstrated knowledge, proficiency, and experience in several areas ofmaintenance including but not limited to HVAC systems, roof repair,maintenance, small engine repair, electrical and plumbing skills. 7.Basic knowledge of carpentry, drywalling, and painting. 8. Knowledge ofbaseball grounds care preferred. 9. Exhibit strong workmanship andresultant concern for appearance and security of facilities. 10. Abilityto interact positively with others, including school staff and communitymembers. 11. Ability to work unsupervised at times and identify safetyissues. 12. Bilingual abilities a plus.
