Participates in physiologic monitoring of patients and places, maintains, and removes peripherally inserted central catheters as prescribed. Interacts with and contributes to the professional development of peers and colleagues, collaborating with all levels of nursing staff, interdisciplinary teams, executive leaders, physicians, and educators. Assists physicians with sterile and non-sterile procedures, anticipates their needs, and utilizes knowledge of necessary equipment and supplies. Maintains intra-arterial access, performs manual and mechanical hemostasis, and uses closure devices as prescribed by licensed practitioners. Utilizes proper positioning criteria and technical exposure factors, ensuring correct patient demographics and annotations during post-processing. Operates and maintains imaging equipment safely, applies appropriate PPE, and follows infection control policies for handling biohazardous materials. Performs a full range of imaging and angiography procedures, adapting to new technologies and protocols, and addresses patient needs and anxieties. Participates in quality improvement initiatives, patient satisfaction initiatives, and utilizes patient service recovery resources when appropriate. Handles various job tasks simultaneously, improves productivity by maintaining suite readiness, and prepares equipment for the next procedure.
