Through the delivery of our operations and maintenance services, you’ll make it simpler and more seamless for our municipal clients to operate safely and efficiently, empowering communities to focus on what matters most to them - people. As a Construction Manager, you’ll join our collaborative Operations, Maintenance, and Facility Services (OMFS) team to support our projects at the Waterbury Wastewater Treatment Plant. You’ll oversee the development and completion of several construction projects and supervise the construction activities undertaken by contractors to ensure compliance with schedule, technical specifications, and quality and costs as stated in the contract documents.Also, as part of the project team, you’ll:•Lead multiple large construction projects from planning through closeout.•Drive project financial performance including budgeting, cost control, forecasting, and risk management.•Maintain strong relationships with owners, design partners, subcontractors, and stakeholders.•Guide inspection staff and assist with day-to-day construction management activities, including phased and final product acceptance, coordination meetings, and schedule and cost control.•Review and approve RFIs, change orders, submittals, shop drawings, and contract documents.•Observe daily construction activities and ensure thorough inspections of construction materials and workmanship, while also monitoring adjacent operations for safety measures.•Partner closely with plant staff to support field operations, manpower planning, logistics, and site safety.•Maintain orderly files for all project-related documents. Leverage construction management software and tools to enhance project efficiency and accuracy.•Organize and document inspections, reviews, and regular meetings with contractors, approval agencies, and stakeholders.•Collaborate with contractors to develop and maintain a comprehensive CPM construction schedule and ensure the timely processing of submittals.•Review contractors’ applications for payment and advise on prevailing wage requirements.•Provide monthly project and status reports, including schedule and cost information, progress photos, and project issues.•Evaluate and advise on construction issues, changes, and recommendations.
