MV Transportation is now hiring experienced Mechanics Level B in your area.Who You Are:As a Mechanic, you will perform preventative maintenance, diagnosis, service and repair of steering, suspension, brakes, engines, transmissions, differentials, electrical, wheelchair lifts, and air conditioning systems. Successful applicants must be able to work safely, perform part analysis on damaged parts and assist in inventory control or other duties, as necessary.What’s in it for YOU:Competitive Pay Rates! 40 hours a week, not flat rateOT as needed over 40 hoursFull Benefits: Medical, Vision, Dental, and 401K planPaid vacationCompany provided uniformCorporate partner discount programCareer advancement through a national companyASE certification reimbursement and bonus.Duties include, but are not limited to the following: Diagnoses, examines, and investigates vehicles to determine causes of defective operation of engines, transmissions, differential units, generators, starters, pumps, air suspensions systems, pneumatic systems, radiators, injectors, clutches, air conditioning systems, and other vehicle components.Determines proper course of action to facilitate vehicle repair, maintenance, adjustment, and component replacement.Maintains, adjusts and/or repairs all bus systems, components and parts including hydraulic and electrical systems, brakes, front ends, air conditioning systems to ensure the operational fitness of the vehicle.Performs major overhauls, major tune-ups and repair to brakes and steering systems.Changes windows and seats, and performs minor body repair.Operate buses in order to diagnose component failure, make roadside repairs or move disabled buses/vehicles.Operates heavy machinery, hydraulic lifts, hoists and jacks, brake lathesCommunicates and consults with all levels ofemployees.Respond to breakdowns.Mentors’ lower skill level technicians/mechanicsPerforms relatedduties as required.Document all activities in MV’s Fleet Management System.Maintain work environment in an organized and safe condition Qualifications: Talent Requirements:Must have (5) years of experience in automotive or diesel mechanics, which may include fleet experience.Have taken basic automotive or heavy-duty repair courses or have a good understanding of basic automotive/heavy duty systems.A/C certificationsASE A1-A8 preferred.Trade school/college graduateor five (5) years heavy diesel maintenance experienceWork well with others and willing to learn.Must be able to lift minimumof 60 lbs.MV Transportation is committed to a policy of Equal Employment Opportunity and will not discriminate against an applicant or employee on the basis of race, color, religion, creed, national origin or ancestry, sex, physical or mental disability, veteran or military status, genetic information or any other legally recognized protected basis under federal, state or local laws, regulations or ordinances.
