Staff Accountant

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our Accounting and Finance team in Dallas, Texas. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring financial records, analyzing data, and ensuring accuracy in reporting according to accounting standards. You will also collaborate closely with the Controller to maintain compliance and enhance financial processes. Responsibilities: u2022 Manage financial reports, records, and general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance. u2022 Prepare and review account reconciliations, journal entries, and accrual schedules during month-end close activities. u2022 Assist in drafting monthly financial statements, providing analysis, and explaining variances compared to forecasts and previous years. u2022 Oversee fixed asset records and depreciation schedules, ensuring proper documentation and reporting. u2022 Conduct internal audits and maintain documentation for accounts payable, purchasing, and treasury. u2022 Support the improvement of financial processes by utilizing existing software and recommending enhancements. u2022 Research and address financial inquiries from management, delivering timely and accurate responses. u2022 Ensure compliance with established accounting principles and organizational standards. u2022 Participate in special projects and provide support to the accounting team as needed. u2022 Identify opportunities to enhance the efficiency of financial reporting processes. Requirements u2022 Bacheloru2019s degree in accounting or finance. u2022 1-3 years of experience in a staff accounting role. u2022 Advanced understanding of accounting principles and the ability to interpret financial data. u2022 Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and spreadsheets. u2022 Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. u2022 Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. u2022 High level of integrity and commitment to ethical standards. u2022 Experience with Aspire and Acumatica financial software is a plus.
