This unique role begins in a Seattle shipyard during the winter months, preparing the vessel for the upcoming Summer Alaska Sailing Season, followed by a rotational schedule once the season begins.The Chief Engineer is responsible for the maintenance, operation, and repair of all vessel systems. On our larger vessels, the Chief Engineer will manage and supervise the Assistant Engineer.
