Job Title: Maintenance Technician Job Description As a Maintenance Technician, you will perform mid to expert level break-fix and preventative maintenance. Your duties include observing devices in operation to locate root causes of problems, dismantling devices to access and remove defective parts, and examining parts to detect imperfections. You will adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments, repair and replace defective parts, and test devices to observe performance. You will also perform tests for electrical circuitry and mechanical systems and recondition and repair machine tools. Responsibilities + Identify and source parts, supplies, and repair items as necessary. + Independently perform maintenance in accordance with industry standards. + Set up and operate multiple machining operations including lathe, drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools to make and repair parts. Perform welding tasks as needed. + Comply with 5S and housekeeping standards. + Drive and participate in continuous improvement activities, focusing on processes, results, and cost savings. + Update records and review CMMS history. + Troubleshoot and analyze control systems to resolve software, hardware, and configuration problems. + Utilize predictive maintenance technologies to collect equipment performance data. + Assist lower-level technicians and lead small teams, performing more advanced functions as part of training and development. + Complete on-the-job and technical self-study programs for career development. + Follow all safety-related policies, rules, regulations, technical instructions, and guidelines, maintaining situational awareness and identifying unsafe behaviors and conditions. Essential Skills + Experience with 480v electrical systems. + Experience working with hydraulics on the mechanical side. + Proficiency in maintenance, electrical troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance. + Ability to understand electrical, mechanical, fluid power, and control systems and perform repairs. Additional Skills & Qualifications + High School Graduate or equivalent (GED). + Associate's degree with a Technical focus and 3 years of related experience in general industry, or 5 years of related experience in general industry, or successful completion of the ATS Technician Progression Program. + Proficiency in using basic hand tools and specialized tools as appropriate. Work Environment The position operates on a day shift from 6 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday through Friday. You will work in a GMP environment at a winery, adhering to industry standards and regulations. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Yountville, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $34.00 - $44.00/hr.
