We are currently seeking a Florida-licensed Radiology Technologist on a PRN/per diem/as-needed basis. You will take radiographs (x-rays) of patients which will assist physicians in diagnosis and treatment, and you will perform procedures accurately and in a careful, compassionate and respectful manner. _We prioritize patient care._ _If you are dedicated to caring for others, this could be your next career opportunity._ Your tasks and responsibilities as a Radiology Tech (X-Ray Tech) include but are not limited to: + Possess sound and thorough knowledge of all diagnostic radiographic procedures and related equipment including surgical, portable, trauma, general and fluoroscopic radiographic procedures + Obtain high-quality radiographic and fluoroscopic images assuring only optimal images are submitted for interpretation utilizing appropriate lead markers as well as date and time stickers where indicated + Select proper and accurate technical factors and techniques to accommodate patient and assist in administration of contrast media when indicated + Prepare, transfer and position patients as needed ensuring modesty, safely utilizing auxiliary equipment and/or devices indicated + Document all pertinent clinical information prior to exam, obtain informed consent, and complete all required fields within MEDITECH accurately and on time + Maintain proactive and effective communication with patient and other caregiver colleagues to include the radiologist + Check the operation of the equipment, maintain cleanliness of table/equipment to prevent cross-contamination of contagious diseases and keep room stocked with linens and necessary supplies Qualifications u00b7 Completion of a 24-month Radiologic Technology program at an AMA-approved educational institution u00b7 Valid ARRT (R) certification u00b7 Clear/active Florida Department of Health licensure (CRT) u00b7 Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification u00b7 Ability to perform work which requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, and lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 lbs Benefits HCA Florida Fawcett Hospital, offers a total rewards package that supports the health, life, career and retirement of our colleagues.
