Tax Preparer

Description We are looking for an experienced Tax Preparer to join our team on a contract basis in Bellevue, Washington. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in preparing individual tax returns and be comfortable working with tax software and paper documentation. This role requires attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a detail-oriented environment. Responsibilities: u2022 Prepare individual tax returns (1040) with accuracy and efficiency. u2022 Utilize ProSystem tax software to complete tax filings and ensure compliance. u2022 Review and cross-check paper documentation to verify accuracy. u2022 Collaborate with clients to gather necessary financial information and answer their tax-related questions. u2022 Stay updated on current tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance. u2022 Work independently or as part of a team to meet deadlines. u2022 Maintain organized records and documentation for audit purposes. u2022 Provide excellent customer service while handling sensitive financial data. u2022 Communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors to report progress. Requirements u2022 Proven experience in individual tax preparation, specifically 1040 filings. u2022 Proficiency with CCH ProSystem tax software. u2022 Familiarity with both digital and paper-based tax filing processes. u2022 Strong understanding of current tax laws and regulations. u2022 Ability to work with clients while maintaining attention to detail and confidentiality. u2022 Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills. u2022 Strong verbal and written communication abilities. u2022 Availability to work 4-5 days per week as required.
