As a(n) Business Architect Senior (Salesforce Solutions Engineer) within PNC's Retail Banking- Operational Effectiveness team, you will be based in Chicago, IL, Atlanta, GA, New York, NY or Pittsburgh, PA. Additional locations may be considered within PNCu2019s footprint. The Business Architect Senior / Salesforce Solution Engineer is a strategic, client facing technical expert who partners closely with business leaders, account executives, and cross functional teams to translate complex business needs into scalable Salesforce driven solutions. This role bridges the gap between business strategy and technology executionu2014advising stakeholders, architecting solutions, and ensuring successful adoption of Salesforce capabilities across the enterprise. The ideal candidate blends strong business acumen with deep Salesforce platform expertise, and excels at designing innovative, value driven solutions that support organizational growth and operational excellence. Key Responsibilities 1. Discovery & Technical Advising u2022 Partner with the Business on discovery sessions to understand business objectives, pain points, and technical requirements. u2022 Help Product Managers identify opportunities to streamline, automate, or enhance operations using your expertise on latest Salesforce capabilities. u2022 Serve as a trusted advisor, providing guidance on platform best practices, architecture standards, and technology alignment. 2. Solution Design & Demonstrations u2022 Architect tailored Salesforce solutions that align with business strategy, functional needs, and enterprise architecture principles. u2022 Build, configure, and deliver engaging, purpose built demos and prototypes that illustrate solution value and feasibility. u2022 Translate complex technical concepts into clear, compelling narratives for both technical and non technical audiences. 3. Product & Platform Expertise u2022 Act as an enterprise Salesforce subject matter expert, maintaining deep knowledge of Sales Cloud, Financial Services Cloud, AI tools, and extensibility options. u2022 Provide guidance on both declarative (click-based) and programmatic (Apex, Lightning Web Components, APIs) solution patterns. u2022 Stay informed about Salesforce releases, innovations, and industry trends to proactively recommend enhancements. Qualifications Required u2022 Extensive experience in Salesforce solution engineering, business architecture, or related roles. u2022 Strong understanding of Salesforce platform architecture, capabilities, and configuration tools. u2022 Proven experience designing end to end solutions that integrate business processes, technology, and user experience. u2022 Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skills. u2022 Ability to translate business problems into scalable, high impact technical solutions. Preferred u2022 Salesforce certifications (e.g., Application Architect, System Architect, Sales/Service Cloud Consultant, Platform App Builder). u2022 Experience with large scale enterprise environments, multi cloud implementations, or complex integration landscapes. u2022 Background in pre sales engineering, or enterprise solution architecture. u2022 Familiarity with Banking, Financial Services, or at least Retail Sales Role Impact This role is instrumental in shaping how the organization leverages Salesforce to drive transformation, improve customer experiences, and enable operational efficiency. This role is incentive eligible with the payment based upon company, business and/or individual performance.
