Accounting Specialist

Description We are looking for an experienced Accounting Specialist to join our team in Bridgeton, New Jersey. In this long-term contract position, you will play a key role in managing financial transactions and ensuring accuracy across accounts. Responsibilities: u2022 Process and manage accounts payable transactions, ensuring timely and accurate payments. u2022 Handle accounts receivable tasks including invoicing and payment collections. u2022 Perform reconciliation of accounts to ensure all financial records are accurate and up-to-date. u2022 Assist with billing functions, verifying the accuracy of invoices and resolving discrepancies. u2022 Maintain organized financial records and documentation to support audits and reporting. u2022 Monitor and analyze financial data to identify trends or discrepancies. u2022 Collaborate with internal teams to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency. u2022 Support month-end and year-end closing activities to ensure compliance with financial policies. u2022 Provide detailed reports and summaries to management as required. u2022 Respond to inquiries regarding financial transactions and resolve any related issues promptly. Requirements u2022 Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting or a related field. u2022 Proficiency in handling accounts payable and accounts receivable processes. u2022 Strong knowledge of billing functions and account reconciliation techniques. u2022 Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. u2022 Ability to analyze and interpret financial data effectively. u2022 Familiarity with accounting software and tools. u2022 Strong verbal and written communication skills. u2022 Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
