Material Handler/Forklift Operator

Job Title: Material Handler/Forklift Operator Job Description The Material Handler performs a variety of warehouse duties including pulling and assembling customer orders, checking outbound orders for accuracy and completeness, conducting inventory stock checks, restocking and labeling vendor products, maintaining displays, and conducting daily cycle counts. The role also involves receiving duties such as unloading inbound materials, processing inbound shipments, stocking materials, processing customer returns, and notifying management of damaged shipments for freight claims. Additionally, the Material Handler operates forklift equipment, maintains a clean and organized facility, and ensures a safe working environment by adhering to all safety rules. Responsibilities + Pull and assemble customer orders. + Check outbound orders for accuracy and completeness. + Conduct inventory stock checks. + Restock and label vendor products. + Maintain displays for tools, caulk, etc. + Move, store, and replenish materials. + Conduct daily cycle counts. + Receive and unload inbound materials. + Process inbound shipments and stock materials. + Process customer returns and notify management of damaged shipments. + Operate forklift equipment. + Ensure a safe working environment by following safety rules. Essential Skills + Proficiency in forklift operation. + Experience in material handling. + Ability to operate a pallet jack. + Experience with shipping and receiving. + Skills in order picking and loading. + General labor skills. + Proficiency in using RF scanners. + Experience with warehouse inventory. + Skills in unloading. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Previous warehouse experience is needed. Work Environment This position operates during the first shift, Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. The work environment is a warehouse setting where the Material Handler must maintain a clean and organized facility, adhering to a casual dress code suitable for warehouse activities. Safety is prioritized, with all staff expected to follow safety protocols to ensure a secure working environment. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Dickson, TN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $20.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your jobclassification and length of employment.
