Job Title: Quality Inspector Job Description We are seeking a meticulous Quality Inspector with strong knowledge or certification in IPC-610 to inspect and test small and very small parts during the manufacturing process. The role involves ensuring product compliance with Customer specifications, inspecting the first piece, in-process, and final products, and verifying proper inspection methods using SAP. Responsibilities + Work from semi-complicated specifications and drawings, or other documentation. + Ensure product compliance by inspecting product characteristics. + Verify proper inspection methods as shown in SAP. + Verify shipments match part numbers and requirements of purchase orders. + Verify correct vendor certifications. + Carry out Workstation Audits in specific areas, as required. + Check parts for count, finish, quality of workmanship, and general appearance. + Make final determination if parts meet inspection criteria. + Generate Defective Material Reports for products that do not conform to the requirements. + Participate and promote continuous improvements. Essential Skills + Strong knowledge or certification in IPC-610. + Proficiency in Caliper/Micrometer/Ruler tool use. + Ability to use Pin Gauges. + Ability to measure and convert to metric units. + Computer comprehension, particularly SAP as ERP. + Ability to analyze products based on given requirements. + Effective communication skills. + Ability to work on small and fragile parts with minimal errors. + Ability to translate specifications to inspection of parts following expected inspection methodology. + Ability to use basic inspection equipment such as calipers, rulers, micrometers, and microscopes. + Ability to read and understand the differences between millimeters and inches. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience with Optical Comparators. + Experience with microscope work. + IPC 610 Certification. + IPC 620 Certification. + Experience with AS9100. + Experience in ISO environment. Work Environment The position is based on a day shift schedule from Monday to Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm. The work environment may encounter temperature variations, chemical agents, and contact with water/liquids, with a moderate to loud noise level typical for this job. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tualatin, OR. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $30.00/hr.
