Professional Summary The Medicare Advantage Customer Service Representative delivers high-quality support to members by addressing coverage, benefits, and claims-related inquiries with accuracy and empathy. This role requires strong communication skills, the ability to interpret complex policy information, and efficiency in a fast-paced call center environment. The ideal candidate is customer-focused, tech-savvy, and committed to resolving issues promptly while advocating for member satisfaction. Key Responsibilities + Provide excellent customer service to Medicare Advantage members through inbound and outbound phone interactions. + Assist members with coverage, benefits, and claims-related questions in a clear, courteous, and professional manner. + Accurately interpret benefits, policy provisions, and plan details across multiple Medicare Advantage products. + Research, investigate, and follow up on member inquiries to ensure timely and accurate resolution. + Advocate for members by explaining benefits thoroughly to ensure understanding and build trust. + Efficiently manage a high volume of calls while meeting established call center performance metrics and quality standards. + Research, triage, and resolve customer issues, concerns, and dissatisfaction according to assigned workflows. + Maintain professionalism, empathy, and composure when handling sensitive or complex healthcare-related inquiries. Qualifications + Previous call center experience with an understanding of performance metrics and expectations + Strong computer literacy and comfort navigating multiple systems simultaneously + High level of technical aptitude and ability to quickly learn new systems and tools + Excellent phone etiquette with a professional and courteous demeanor + Proven ability to resolve customer service issues efficiently and effectively + Demonstrated empathy and active listening skills, especially in healthcare-related situations + Prior healthcare or Medicare-related experience preferred Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Salem, OR. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
