General Summary: TheProject Manager is responsible for acquiring new business opportunities.They'll help plan, organize, direct and coordinate the preparations andexecutions of projects while meeting cost, quality, equipmentutilization and safety objectives. Principal Accountabilities: Activelypursues and acquires new business through developing and maintainingstrong client relationships, presentations to prospective clients, soundunderstanding of proposed project plans, specifications and othercontractual documents. Prepares project estimates, budgets, schedules,and assist in project contract negotiations. Monitors adherence to allof above through attendance at job site meetings, project progressreports, performance evaluations, safety meetings and working closelywith field crew supervision. Works closely with architect and engineersto resolve design related construction issues including timelyprocessing and approvals of project shop drawings. Keeps customer fullyinformed of project progress and any significant issues and their effecton design or costs. Negotiates fee changes. Releases completed projectto the full satisfaction of the customer. Plans, organizes, directs andcoordinates manpower, equipment, tools and supply needs within thedepartment to achieve project objectives. Purchases equipment andstandardized materials. Monitors and assess maintenance and safeguardingof equipment, tools and supplies. Responsible for proper repair ofequipment upon completion of job. Manages administrative aspects ofcontracts (change orders, rental equipment, timesheet coding, billingand expenses, collections, etc.) by working closely with administrativestaff and accounting and communicating all financial details toappropriate parties. Maintains sound union relationships with fieldemployees and local business managers. Participates in joint labormanagement committees and apprenticeship subcommittees. Develop thoroughunderstanding of labor agreements. Completes job closeout processincluding resolution of
