17946BR Title: NP / Physician Assistant Department/Cost Center: 817 - Community Ob/Gyn Job Description: The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) assesses, promotes and contributes to the quality care provided to patients and their families/support systems throughout the hospital continuum. The APP provides clinical leadership through advanced practice role-modeling and professional communication. Specialization includes in-depth graduate study of relevant theories and scientific knowledge related to a select patient population which promotes the ability to analyze and refine practice. In collaboration with the health care team, the APP monitors the clinical care of patients and provides clinical expertise to improve patient care and patient outcomes. Provides direction for patient care to complex patient populations. Identifies, analyzes and resolves patient care issues in an effort to meet the care needs of the patient in an ethical and culturally sensitive way. Drives new services as requested. Salary Range: $98,000.00 - $130,083.20 annually _The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Education u2013 Fulfilled the requirements to be a licensed NP or PA in NYS 2. Experience u2013 3 to 5 years of clinical experience. Prefer specialization in ambulatory Womenu2019s Health/OBGYN setting. 3. License/Certification Required u2013 Licensure to practice as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the State of New York. 4. Skills - Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. Effective teaching skills. Proficient, efficient and safe independent clinical practice capability. Competent computer skills (MS Office software, keyboarding).
