Working within platforms, the Category Analyst optimizes assortment and collaborates with stakeholders to ensure alignment with Category Directors and manufacturer goals. Focused on schematic assortments, they partner with the schematic analyst team to maintain product assortments using software programs for assigned categories.Job Will Remain Open Until FilledResponsibilitiesThe Company is one of North America's leading sales and marketing agencies specializing in outsourced sales, merchandising, category management and marketing services to manufacturers, suppliers and producers of food products and consumer packaged goods. We bridge the gap between manufacturers and retailers, providing consumers access to the best products available in the marketplace today.Essential Job Duties and ResponsibilitiesResponsible for achieving deliverables according to brand timeline for Assortment creation including partnering with other departments on said deliverables.Assist Category Managers in tailoring assortment specific to each market, accommodating regional/local items, unique clusters and assessing set sizes, while following national guardrails.Responsible for reporting data errors to the appropriate party for resolution, and providing assortment analytics to appropriate supporting departments.Assist category Managers in understanding store space limitations and develop innovative solutions to meet companies' objectives.Responsible for monitoring store scanning, and continuously evaluating each step in the process for opportunity, even providing pos-reset analysis to check on the implemented changes performance.Supervisory ResponsibilitiesDirect Reports- This position does not have supervisory responsibilities for direct reportsIndirect Reports- This position may have guidance or mentoring responsibilities for indirect reportsTravel and/or Driving Requirements- Travel and Driving are not essential duties or functions of this jobMinimum QualificationsThe following are the minimum job-related qualifications which an individual needs in order to successfully perform the essential duties and responsibilities of the jobEducation Level: (Required): Bacehlors Degree or equivalent job-related experienceField of Study/Area of Experience:4-6 years of experience with Planograms or FloorplansExperience with analysis in a professional settingExperience in merchandising is a plusSkills, Knowledge and AbilitiesPossesses a knowledge of industry products and an understanding of space planning processes Collaborates effectively across departments and customer teamsThrives in deadline-driven environmentHighly organized, reliable, and skilled in drawing insights to influence decisions and drive resultsExcellent communication abilitiesWell-organize
