SUMMARY The Utility Construction Manager- On-Site Generation serves as the on-site authority overseeing the on-site execution of QTS bridging power infrastructure projects, including campus level on-site generation and utility bridging power initiatives. This role provides technical leadership and operational oversight to ensure safe, timely, and compliant delivery of electric capacity QTS campuses while directing construction activities and orchestrating complex site logistics. The Utility Construction Manager- On-Site Generation will partner closely with key stakeholders: Pre-Development for permitting and planning, Development for site logistics and interconnection coordination, Utility Technical Services (UTS) for technical reviews and approvals, Facility Operations for ongoing operations, maintenance, and customer-specific notifications, and Utility Development for transitioning to utility power when available. RESPONSIBILITIES, other duties may be assigned + Provide strategic leadership and coordination with partners, consultants, and contractors on the execution of on-site generation and bridging power construction activities. + Lead oversight of construction budgets, including labor, materials, and equipment costs, while delivering accurate cost forecasting to support executive decision-making. + Direct and mentor construction teams across multiple on-site generation projects, ensuring rigorous adherence to safety, quality, and operational excellence standards. + Champion project delivery by ensuring all milestones are achieved on schedule, within budget, and in alignment with defined scope and technical specifications. + Oversee and de-risk the procurement, delivery and installation of long-lead equipment, ensuring readiness for critical path activities. + Provide high-level monitoring and reporting of project progress, site conditions, and readiness for power delivery timelines to internal and external stakeholders. + Lead the development, refinement, and approval of scopes of work for construction and commissioning activities, while supporting strategic procurement and contractor qualification processes. + Evaluate and validate contractor proposals for construction and commissioning services, ensuring technical alignment with project requirements. + Assess and negotiate change order requests from contractors, ensuring fair pricing, contractual compliance, and minimal schedule impact. + Other duties as assigned. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS u00b75 or more years of on-site generation or medium/high voltage construction management. u00b73 or more years of experience running projects or related professional experience. u00b7Experience with the Microsoft Office suite, specifically PowerPoint for use in communicating program updates, and Excel to create and maintain project budgets. u00b7Knowledge of on-site generation industry partners and equipment manufacturers u00b7Technical expertise in High and Medium Voltage Electrical Design or Construction u00b7Ability to travel up to 75% as needed to support projects PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS u00b710 plus years of on-site generation construction u00b7 Experience managing a large portfolio of work.
