How you'll help us Keep Climbing (overview & key responsibilities) Operations Analytics Co-ops work with analytics professionals in the operation supporting one of the following functions or departments: + Integrated Operations Planning (IOP) u2013 optimizing aircraft schedule and resource availability to maintain peak on-time performance + Operations Digital & Decision Science (ODDS) u2013 developing decision science tools and digital product solutions + Corporate Safety, Security & Compliance (CSSC) u2013 Supporting the safety and security of the airline and its employees + Airport Customer Service (ACS) u2013 improving airport processes and managing performance + Crew u2013 improving Pilot and Flight Attendant operations and performance efficiency + Delta Connection (DC) u2013 supporting end to end analytics and cross-divisional operational initiatives and improvements for the operation of Deltau2019s regional airlines + Flight Operations (FOP) u2013 managing aircraft and gate to gate operations and performance + Onboard Services (OBS) u2013 optimizing process, supply, and inventory of inflight products and services + In-Flight Services (IFS) u2013 enhancing customer onboard experience and catering operations and performance + Operations & Customer Center (OCC) u2013 tracking on-time flight metrics, weather, day-of flight analyses + Central u2013 managing centralized operations and competitive performance analyses Though individual responsibilities will vary by function or department, some common work responsibilities are listed below: + Measure current operational performance and/or customer satisfaction + Identify optimization opportunities to reduce injuries and security line wait times + Research, analyze, and interpret operational data + Develop new reports and dashboards and automate existing ones + Perform reliability/root-cause analysis for parts and maintenance + Evaluate and provide recommendations for improvement of key operational metrics including aircraft time at gate, gating efficiency, and feasibility of aircraft schedules + Seek operational improvements to reduce aircraft taxi time and flight time + Maintain, run and improve staffing models to support airport operations + Provide strategic and operational support and develop performance metrics and goals + Develop success factors and statistical evaluations of new procedures What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications) Students are required to complete three alternating semesters of work and school; all rotations must be completed before the student's graduation. _Note: Students are not permitted to work part-time hours and should refrain from taking classes and working as a co-op in the same semester._ The full-time work schedule for this role, while remaining actively enrolled in an approved undergraduate curriculum, is as follows: + Fall 2026 + Summer 2027 + Spring 2028 Please ensure that this alternating semester rotation works with your university, curriculum, and/or academic advisor before applying. + Enrolled in an Undergraduate program in pursuit of a Bacheloru2019s degree in Computer Science, Analytics, Economics, Industrial Engineering, Information Systems, or similar 4-year degree program + Available for three alternating semesters for full-time work + Ability to report in-person to Deltau2019s World Headquarters (Atlanta, GA) or willing to relocate each semester (housing stipends will be provided to students who meet the minimum criteria) + Team oriented and highly supportive of continuous improvement methodologies + Strong organizational, project management, and verbal/written communication skills are essential + Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and data analysis tools and concepts + Proficiency in Python, SQL or similar database query tool knowledge and Macro programming is strongly preferred + _Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data._ + _Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles._ + _Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency._ + _Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States._ What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications) Benefits and Perks to Help You Keep ClimbingDelta Air Lines, Inc. is an Equal Employment Opportunity / Affirmative Action employer and provides reasonable accommodation in its application process for qualified individuals with disabilities and disabled veterans.
