Join us THE ROLE The Pro Shop Attendant serves as the primary point of contact for customers and is responsible for delivering excellent service while supporting the daily retail operations of the pro shop. This role assists customers with merchandise selection and purchases, processes transactions, maintains an organized and visually appealing sales floor, monitors and restocks inventory, and provides information about facility services, events, and policies. The Pro Shop Attendant helps ensure smooth operations, a professional environment, and a positive overall experience for every guest. Essential Duties and Responsibilities The Pro Shop Attendant is responsible for providing excellent customer service by greeting guests, assisting with merchandise selection, and answering questions about products and facility services. Duties include operating the point-of-sale system to process purchases, returns, and tee time check-ins; handling cash and reconciling daily sales; stocking and organizing merchandise displays; receiving and tagging inventory; maintaining a clean and professional retail environment; monitoring inventory levels; supporting tournaments and special events; and ensuring all facility policies and procedures are followed to create a positive and efficient guest experience. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES The Event Manager supervises the Event Coordinato r s and Event Staff. QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty with energy and enthusiasm. Education and/or Experience The Pro Shop Attendant position typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent, with previous retail, customer service, or cash-handling experience preferred. Basic knowledge of golf equipment, apparel, and pro shop operations is an asset, along with familiarity with point-of-sale systems and general computer skills. Strong communication skills, reliability, and the ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, are important for success in this role. Skills and Abilities The Pro Shop Attendant should possess strong customer service and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with guests and team members. The role requires basic math and cash-handling accuracy, proficiency with point-of-sale systems and general computer applications, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced retail environment. Attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to maintain attractive merchandise displays are essential. The attendant must be dependable, team-oriented, and capable of standing for extended periods and lifting merchandise as needed. COMPENSATION Competitive hourly wage, commensurate with experience, discounted golf privileges.
