You will be part of our rapidly growing Infrastructure Design Department, which includes roadway, drainage, utilities, structural, geotechnical, rail, and is a multi-faceted and leading-edge division of Kiewit with best-in-class technical expertise focused on the design-build delivery of infrastructure projects throughout the country. Location This position will be based out of Kiewit Infrastructure Engineers Lone Tree, CO (South Denver) office. Responsibilities u2022 Provides potential solutions to complex issues. u2022 Reviews the work of designers developing documents as needed for the project. u2022 Acts as a field resource to assist construction in field resolution on issues. u2022 Acts independently to utilize industry and company standards to design effectively. No supervision required to apply standard correctly to design. u2022 Reviews application of standards and can make suggestions on improvements needed u2022 Serves as a resource to department, projects and construction. u2022 Identifies changes in scope of work during small to mid-sized projects and produces drawing changes as needed to stay within budget and schedule. u2022 Balances individual performance requirements with the demands for team participation. u2022 Performs assigned work efficiently and effectively to maximize person productivity. u2022 Review vendor documentation and comment as it applies to client and project needs. u2022 Complete as-builts by utilizing Request for Information (RFIs), Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) and red-marked drawings from construction. Qualifications u2022 Education: Associate degree in Computer-Aided Design, 3D Modeling, Drafting, Surveying, or equivalent professional experience. u2022 Experience: 10+ years of professional experience in CAD design and plan production for roadway, drainage, and utility projects. u2022 Civil 3D Expertise: Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Autodesk Civil 3D, with a mastery of: -Developing and modifying Civil 3D Styles and Label Styles. -Advanced Pipe and Pressure Networks, including parts library development and modification. -Surface modeling (Existing and Proposed). -Complex Alignments, Profiles, and Cross Sections. -Data Shortcut project management and maintenance. -Advanced Corridor modeling for civil infrastructure and drainage. -Sheet Set Manager (SSM) implementation and customization. u2022 Best Practices: Proven track record of developing Civil 3D workflows and standards for large-scale infrastructure projects. u2022 Cloud Collaboration: Proficiency with Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC)/BIM 360 for design coordination and data management. u2022 Software Versatility: Experience with Bentley OpenRoads Designer (ORD), InRoads, or Revit is a significant advantage. u2022 Technical Literacy: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) with an emphasis on creating collaborative team materials. -Deep understanding of civil engineering principles, materials, and construction practices for transportation and utility sectors. -Ability to interpret complex engineering plans, specifications, and design documents. u2022 Soft Skills & Leadership: -Quality Control: Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify discrepancies and inconsistencies in design sets. -Problem Solving: Demonstrated critical thinking and the ability to conceptualize 3D design solutions. -Communication: Proven ability to lead, mentor, and collaborate effectively with engineers, surveyors, and multi-disciplinary teams. - Leadership: Previous experience in a CAD Lead role. #LI-JT1 Working Conditions Other Requirements: u2022 Regular, reliable attendance u2022 Work productively and meet deadlines timely u2022 Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment u2022 Perform work safely and effectively.
