Job Title: Human Resources GeneralistJob Description The HR Generalist serves as the initial point of contact for various human resources functions for designated client groups at a professional or managerial level. This role offers support and guidance in areas such as recruiting, employment, employee relations, training and development, compensation, benefits, and special projects. The HR Generalist provides guidance on operational HR issues to line management and assists with initiatives to fulfill business and HR functional needs. The position also involves serving as a contact for employees to address questions regarding HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Responsibilities + Implement and maintain processes, practices, and programs to ensure an efficient, high-quality, cost-effective recruitment process. + Manage the full cycle recruitment for assigned roles, including working with hiring managers to create job descriptions and recruiting plans, interviewing job applicants, and supporting managers in selection decisions. + Facilitate new hire orientation and employee recognition programs. + Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, staying updated with changes. + Maintain and update employee records, ensuring the accuracy and confidentiality of data. + Serve as the primary contact for addressing employee concerns and investigate and respond to employee relations issues appropriately. + Conduct stay and exit interviews, analyze data, and make recommendations to management for corrective action and continuous improvement. + Interpret relevant laws and policies and advise management and employees accordingly. + Recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to improve the efficiency of department services. + Participate in developing department goals, objectives, and systems. + Ensure all interactions and engagements are carried out with the highest ethical and professional standards. + Perform other duties as assigned. Essential Skills + Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related business field with 2 years of experience, OR Associate's degree with 4 years of experience, OR High School Diploma with 6 years of related experience. + Working knowledge of an HR system (preferably SAP). + Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills. Work Environment The position operates in a typical office setting with a standard Monday to Friday schedule, consisting of 8-hour shifts between 8:00 am and 6:00 pm. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Columbus, OH. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
