Western Psychiatric Hospital is seeking a dynamic and highly motivated individual to coordinate pharmacy operations and clinical pharmacy services throughout the UPMC Behavioral Health Service Line. The Pharmacy Manager is an integral part of the WPH Pharmacy Leadership Team, who sets the standard for excellence in clinical pharmacy practice and operations, pharmacy initiatives and programs, and pharmacy personnel to meet the goals of the department and the organization. The manager is responsible for fostering growth and development of the pharmacy workforce and advancing and integrating psychiatric pharmacy services across all practice settings. This position affords unlimited opportunities to apply your knowledge, expertise, and experience to assist the Director of Pharmacy in leading the provision of pharmacy care and services within our 255-bed acute psychiatric hospital and approximately 265 inpatient psychiatric beds across UPMC, as well as numerous ambulatory clinics and programs, community mental health centers and crisis services throughout our UPMC Behavioral Health Service Line. Responsibilities: Operational Services + Oversee design, implementation, and integration of distributive and cognitive pharmacy services. Collaboration + Maintain productive relationships with physicians, nurses, and leaders to support clinical goals. Pharmaceutical Care + Direct and monitor pharmaceutical care delivery; address patient satisfaction and service gaps. Staff Leadership + Lead staffing, scheduling, hiring, mentoring, evaluations, and corrective action. + Support staff development, education, and participation in departmental programs. Quality & Compliance + Ensure costu2011effective, standardsu2011based drug therapy and support quality improvement efforts. + Maintain regulatory compliance and current professional competencies. Research & Advancement + Promote and participate in research activities that support practice improvement. Financial Management + Assist with budget preparation and monitoring for drug, service, and personnel costs. Role Requirements + B.S. degree in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D.) from an accredited school of pharmacy required. + Three years experience in a broad range of pharmacy operational, clinical, or administrative pharmacy practice OR completion of an HSPAL postgraduate pharmacy residency required. + Must be a Licensed Pharmacist or eligibility to obtain licensure in the State of Pennsylvania Role Preferences + Master's degree in pharmacy administration or healthcare management (MS, MBA, MHA) preferred. + Minimum of 6 years of health-system pharmacy experience OR Completed an ASHP accredited pharmacy administration residency or fellowship. + At least 3 years of clinical pharmacy leadership or other relevant experience + PGY-1 postgraduate pharmacy residency preferred. + Board of Pharmacy Specialties (BPS) certification preferred. + Prior inpatient pharmacy leadership experience preferred. + Strong communication skills with demonstrated ability to innovate and lead change + Commitment to continuous professional development and program management + Experience with EPIC, pharmacy practice management, revenue cycle, quality metrics Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances: + Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) + Comprehensive Crisis Management (CCMC) + Pharmacist + Act 31 Child Abuse Reporting with renewal + Act 33 with renewal + Act 34 with renewal + Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal _UPMC is an Equal Opportunity Employer/Disability/Veteran_
