Job Details: Job Description: The Software and AI (SAI) organization is seeking a highly skilled Software Development Engineer to contribute to the development and optimization of oneDNN, a complex, crossu2011platform, openu2011source performance library for deep learning applications ( ). oneDNN is a critical and highly visible component of Intelu2019s AI strategy, powering industryu2011leading frameworks such as OpenVINO, TensorFlow, PyTorch, ONNX Runtime, and many others. This is a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of AI algorithms, lowu2011level performance engineering, and cuttingu2011edge Intel hardware, enabling stateu2011ofu2011theu2011art neural network performance across CPUs, integrated graphics, and discrete GPUs. Responsibilities + Design, develop, and optimize new features and algorithms for oneDNN targeting Intel processors, Intel Processor Graphics, and Intel discrete GPUs. + Perform performance analysis and optimization to achieve bestu2011inu2011class deepu2011learning inference and training throughput on current and nextu2011generation Intel platforms. + Develop hardwareu2011specific parallel algorithms, including multithreading, vectorization, and memoryu2011layout optimizations. + Contribute to assemblyu2011level programming and low-level performance tuning for Intel microarchitectures. + Collaborate with crossu2011functional teams across software engineering, architecture, and AI performance to ensure strong integration with Intelu2019s broader AI ecosystem. + Engage with the openu2011source community, participate in code reviews, and maintain high-quality coding and documentation standards. Qualifications: Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Minimum Qualifications: + Master or PhD Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science or in a related field + 5+ years of experience in the following areas: + C++ Algorithms and data structures, or Mathematical background + Low-level Performance Optimizations, preferably on GPUs Preferred Qualifications: + 3 years+ High-performance computing (HPC) applications development + 1 year+ Machine learning and deep learning algorithms + 1 year+ Agile software development environment + 1 year+ Intel development tools. + Software libraries design and architecture + Background in Linear algebra solvers, matrix-vector operations, or Fast Fourier Transforms + Software development on Linux + GPU optimizations (OpenCL, CUDA, SYCL/DPC++, C for Metal or similar) + Parallel programming (OpenMP, TBB, or MPI) Job Type: Experienced Hire Shift: Shift 1 (United States of America) Primary Location: US, Oregon, Hillsboro Additional Locations: US, California, Santa Clara Business group: The Software Team drives customer value by enabling differentiated experiences through leadership AI technologies and foundational software stacks, products, and services. The group is responsible for developing the holistic strategy for client and data center software in collaboration with OSVs, ISVs, developers, partners and OEMs. The group delivers specialized NPU IP to enable the AI PC and GPU IP to support all of Intel's market segments. The group also has HW and SW engineering experts responsible for delivering IP, SOCs, runtimes, and platforms to support the CPU and GPU/accelerator roadmap, inclusive of integrated and discrete graphics.
