Job Description Maintain plant mechanicalsystems (boilers, air compressors, & HVAC units) at a high level ofreadiness and efficiency. These systems will be kept in a clean andorderly manner at all times. Maintain filters and dust collectiondevices in the plant air handling units. This includes the vacuuming andchanging of filters periodically. Maintain plant entrances. Assist withcarpentry, painting, plumbing and electrical projects throughout theplants. Monitor the plant trim and dust collection system including dustcollectors, bag houses, trim blowers and return air fans. Also assist inthe maintenance of these areas. Perform building maintenance projectssuch as arranging conference rooms, performing modifications toemployees work areas as necessary or assigned. Assist with buildingsinspections as assigned. Perform preventive maintenance as assigned.Maintain a safe working environment at all times. Understand and followdirections Maintain appropriate records, time reports and work ordersfor work performed. Follow all plant policies and procedures. Offer anysuggestions and recommendations that will improve operations, theproduct, training, etc. Qualifications Knowledge and Skills RequiredHigh school diploma or equivalent is desired. The ability totroubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical problems. Be able touse powered hand tools in the operation of maintenance duties. Able tolift 50 lbs. A general knowledge of HVAC and mechanical systems ispreferred. Ability to assist outside vendors when required in the repairand installation of equipment. Possess good verbal and writtencommunication skills. Willingness to work as a team member in a positiveand constructive manner.
