At Port City Veterinary Referral Hospital, our Oncology team is growing—and were looking for a full-time Veterinary Technician whos eager to make a real difference.*Students currently enrolled in an accredited veterinary technology program are encouraged to apply!Compensation & SchedulePay Range: $22-$35/hour based on skills assessment and credentialsEven higher pay available for VTS holders!Schedule: Four 10-hour shifts per week, including rotating weekendsWhat Youll Do:As a key part of our Oncology team, youll help provide exceptional care to our patients and outstanding service to our clients. Your responsibilities will include:Conducting patient intakes and obtaining detailed historiesDocumenting treatments, diagnostics, and communications in EzyVetManaging client follow-ups, voicemails, and callbacksPerforming phlebotomy and catheter placementsAssisting with exams, chemotherapy, and diagnostic proceduresPreparing and collecting diagnostic samples (blood, urine, FNAs)Administering medications and performing medical calculationsAssisting with imaging (radiographs, CT, ultrasound)Monitoring and recovering patients post-procedureSupporting hospitalized patients with ongoing treatmentsCommunicating treatment plans, estimates, and discharge instructions to clientsFilling prescriptions and running in-house lab workWhat Were Looking For:Active veterinary technician license - CVT/LVT/RVTMinimum 2 years experience in a veterinary hospital preferredExcellent communication and teamwork skillsAbility to multitask in a dynamic and fast-paced environmentSolid understanding of veterinary medicine and common disease processesFluent English skills (speaking & reading) are required for the roleAbout Port City Veterinary Referral HospitalAt Port City, were more than just a 24/7 emergency and specialty hospital — were a close-knit team dedicated to delivering outstanding veterinary care and creating a truly collaborative work environment.Weve recently moved into a brand-new, state-of-the-art facility equipped with digital radiology, CT, ultrasound, fluoroscopy, a linear accelerator, and more.
