Submit your application for the opportunity below: Surg Technologist OB Cert Job Summary and Qualifications u200bu200bThe Certified Obstetric Surgical Technologist delivers high quality, patient-centered care by performing various functions to support the efficient operation of the Obstetric surgical suite. Under the supervision of the Circulating RN, the Surgical Technologist prepares the surgical suite, positions and prepares the patient, and provides instruments, equipment, and supplies to the surgical team during the procedure. The Surgical Technologist ensures a sterile field, proper instrument counts, and proper operation of instruments and equipment. The Surgical Technologist participates in patient-specific care as directed and follows service excellence standards to promote optimum patient satisfaction.u200b Your responsibilities will include: + Preparing the surgical suite and organizing instruments, equipment, and supplies to support safe, efficient procedures + Assisting with patient positioning, prepping, and draping while maintaining comfort, privacy, and safety + Providing instruments, equipment, and hands-on support to the surgical team during obstetric procedures + Maintaining a sterile field, performing counts, and ensuring instruments and equipment function properly + Working closely with the surgical team to deliver patient-centered care and a seamless surgical experience What qualifications you will need: + Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date + (TS-C) Tech in Surgery - Certified, or (CST) Certified Surgical Technologist, or Certificate, or + Vocational School Graduate, or Work Experience in lieu of Degree + High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent Benefits Medical City Decatur, offers a total rewards package that supports the health, life, career and retirement of our colleagues.
