Job Description

This role involves providing specialized pharmacy technician support across a broad territory in Maryland and Virginia. The primary responsibility is to act as a liaison between assigned healthcare facilities and the pharmacy, ensuring excellent communication and service delivery. The technician will travel regularly to various long-term care and healthcare facilities within the region, developing relationships with facility leadership and staff to support medication therapy and compliance.Key Responsibilities:Build and maintain strong partnerships with facility decision-makers and staff to serve as the main contact for assigned accounts.Collaborate with directors of clinical services and pharmacy operations to support medication therapy and ensure regulatory compliance.Respond promptly to client inquiries and address any concerns or issues.Identify opportunities to enhance services and introduce new products tailored to client needs.Conduct training sessions for facility staff on pharmacy systems, medication safety, and new initiatives.Perform monthly onsite visits and provide reports to support continuous improvement.Prepare facilities for surveys and conduct medication cart/room inspections and medication pass observations as requested.Coordinate with internal pharmacy teams to ensure seamless service delivery.Qualifications and Experience:Valid Virginia and Maryland Pharmacy Technician licenses required.PTCB certification highly preferred.Experience in long-term care pharmacy settings favored.Familiarity with pharmacy and medication distribution software such as EMAR, Medbank, and Frameworks preferred.Reliable transportation required to travel to assigned facilities, with occasional overnight stays.Schedule:Monday to Friday, primarily 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.Flexibility for occasional later audits as needed.Typically 40 hours per week with rare weekend work.This direct hire position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic travel role with all mileage and hotel accommodations covered when overnight stays are necessary.
