Job Title: School-Based Occupational Therapist (2026 2027 School Year)Location: Accomack, VA 23301Pay Rate: $50/houe - $70/hour & based on experienceBirch Agency is currently seeking a School-Based Occupational Therapist for an in-person position in Accomack County, VA for the 2026 2027 school year.We are interviewing now for this upcoming opportunity!We are looking for a compassionate, student-centered Occupational Therapist who is passionate about supporting students functional, academic, and developmental success within the school setting.Position Overview:The Occupational Therapist will provide services to students with identified needs related to fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-care, and school participation. The OT will collaborate closely with educators, families, and related service providers to support student achievement and independence.Essential Duties:Provide occupational therapy services to eligible students in accordance with IEPsParticipate in multidisciplinary evaluations and contribute to eligibility determinationsDevelop, implement, and monitor occupational therapy goals and treatment plansDocument student progress and maintain accurate service and compliance recordsCollaborate with teachers, special education staff, and related service providersConsult with school staff regarding classroom accommodations and strategiesCommunicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progressMaintain and enhance professional knowledge and skillsEnsure therapy environments are safe, organized, and conducive to learningAssume responsibility for therapy materials, equipment, and documentationComply with all federal, state, and district regulationsPerform other duties as assigned by school administration and special education leadershipMinimum Qualifications:Bachelor s or Master s degree in Occupational Therapy (Preferred)Current Virginia Occupational Therapy License (or eligibility)NBCOT certification (Preferred)School-based experience preferred, but not requiredStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, staff, parents, and the communityBenefits:Competitive compensation packageHealth and dental insurance401(k) with company matchingPaid time offRelocation assistance (if applicable)Access to a supportive network of peers and mentors within Birch AgencyOnly candidates eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship will be considered.Now interviewing for the 2026 2027 school year.#cat3#LI-JB1
