Spearhead Growth as Company Expands to 2nd Shift | Hands on RoleThis company located in El Cajon, CA has been in the business since 1971 serving aerospace, defence, and energy companies across the country. With plans to purchase more machinery and expand shop capabilities, their19,000 sq. ft. facility employeesabout 15 people and houses various milling, turning, and grinding machines.In this position, the Sr. Machinist and Programmer will work on set up, operation, and programming of 3-5 axis mills, lathes with live tooling, and more. This person will also help coach and mentor a team of machinists and influence decisions as the company grows.This is a 2nd shift position on a 4x10 schedule with occasional overtime available on Fridays.Benefits include:PTOMedical insurance401KTrain and mentor teammembersReview customer RFQ and provide accurate, timely quote responsesDevelop machining processesProgram, set up and operate CNC mills and lathes for production and prototype workEdit programs at the machinePerform inspections to ensure conformance of specificationsInterpret blueprints for specifications such as dimensions, tolerance & instructionsSelect and secure holding fixtures, tools, etcPerform daily maintenance of machines and/or troubleshootingEnsure safetyand ISO9001/AS9100 standardsHigh school diploma or technical certificate in machining/manufacturing10+ years previous experience in operating CNC lathe and mill machinesG & M Code experienceCNC Programming experience (SurfCAM is a plus!)Knowledge of safetyprotocolsand shop proceduresEffective communication and teamwork skillsPlease note this is an ITAR regulated facility.
