We are looking for others who want to join this truly unique company that celebrates our employees and provides the opportunity to truly make a difference in the world.What We’re Looking For:If you are a Software Developer, skilled in Laravel, PHP, Java, React.js, Node.js, Python, Azure Static Web Apps, Power Pages, Power Platform, Azure Functions and have 5+ years of experience, then you will be excited about the Applications Programmer III opening with Iridium on our B/OSS Billing Development team. As a Applications Programmer III, you’ll be responsible for working autonomously to design and Front end UI, develop API and Java based middleware, Azure Power pages, power platform within the B/OSS delivery team. In this role, you will also provide technical support, as required, to supplement the operations and other support teams. In this role, you will be expected to display a depth of knowledge in development, maintenance, and support of multiple core software systems within the development team product catalogue. You will succeed in this role if you are analytical and have strong communication skills with the ability to translate functional requirements into technical design.What You’ll Do:Design, develop and maintain PHP based UI, API and Java-based middleware with SOAP/REST web servicesDesign, develop and maintain external/internal-facing portals with Power Pages/React.js, internal apps with Power Apps, and automation with Power AutomateDevelop and maintain secure, scalable data models across Dataverse and PostgreSQL, ensuring seamless synchronization between cloud databases and front-end applicationsContribute to the efforts to modernize our applications with the latest tools and technologiesBuild event-driven applications using Kafka and RabbitMQOptimize in-memory data processing and caching using RedisPlay a key role in Agile Scrum team software development cycle, including design discussions and work closely with product owner, line of business, quality assurance and operations support teamsIndependently delivers high-quality work and drives projects/deliverables to completionResponsible for development and execution of process/procedure and required training materials.Conduct review of peer code against team agreed code standards and industry best practices, mentor junior members in the team and provide the needed technical guidanceProduce new builds/patches and deployments upon completion of development tasksSupport the integration, documentation, and launch of new product offerings throughout the release/development cycle. Present the documented API changes for customer integrationWork collaboratively with the development and testing teamsWhat You’ll Need to Succeed:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field OR equivalent relevant experience in lieu of degree5+ years of relevant experience in the software development4+ years of progressive experience in software development and cloud solutionsProgramming & Frameworks: Laravel, PHP, Java, React.js, Node.js, PythonCloud & Platform Expertise: Azure Static Web Apps, Power Pages, Power Platform, Azure FunctionsDatabases: Dataverse, MySQL, Oracle Database, Azure Database for PostgreSQLStrong understanding of RESTful APIs and microservices architectureExperience with version control systems (e.g., Git).Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practicesSkilled at translating functional requirements into technical designMust be able to understand and follow-up on various complex technical issues (sizing, performance, business logic, etc.)Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey products, deliverables, analyses, and/or issues to groups outside of your team or those who are unfamiliar with the topicHave confidence and be able to easily build relationships with leadership and colleagues outside of your teamPossess an analytical mindset, with the ability to understand a situation or problem and think critically to make decisions and come up with out-of-the-box solutionsBe proactive in providing feedback and be enthusiastic in sharing your knowledge with othersCapable of prioritizing your own tasks and potentially the tasks of others while making sure deadlines are metThings ThatWould beGreatif You Brought to the Table:Strong technical knowledge of and experience in Telecommunications or BSS/OSS systemsWe’ll also need you to:Occassionally work extended hours during releases or troubleshooting of any critical customer impacting issuesProvide production support after hours if a customer issue cannot wait till the next dayBe able to work a hybrid schedule that includes at least 60% of your time (3 days per week) in officeBe on callBe able to travel up to 5% of the timeWork Environment:This position primarily works in the company office or in a home office. The position is largely sedentary with the majority of the position sitting in a chair and working with a computer. The role uses basic office equipment including a phone, video, computer, keyboard, mouse and printer. For meetings in-person, this position will need to be able stand, walk within the office and climb stairs on occasion.We believe in-person connection drives innovation, strengthens mentorship, and builds culture, while flexibility enables employees to do their best work.
