Our client, a leader in the materials science and engineering industry, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Technical Services Engineer to join their dynamic team. As a Technical Services Engineer, you will be an integral part of the Technical Support Department, collaborating with various teams to deliver exceptional technical solutions. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach, which will align successfully within the organization. Job Title: Technical Services Engineer Location: Round Lake, Illinois Pay Range:$40.00 to $42.25 What's the Job? + Coordinate and execute technical service requests involving materials testing and extrusion support within established timelines. + Operate and interpret data from advanced material characterization tools such as DSC, TGA, rheometers, SEM, FTIR, GC-MS, HPLC, and tensile testers. + Support polymer extrusion processes for pellets, films, and tubing, including setup, adjustments, and troubleshooting. + Analyze data, conduct root-cause investigations, and provide technical recommendations to improve processes and product quality. + Prepare detailed test protocols, maintain accurate documentation, and generate comprehensive technical reports. What's Needed? + Bacheloru2019s degree in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Polymer Science, or a related field with 8+ years of experience, or Masteru2019s with 5+ years, or PhD with 2+ years. + Hands-on experience with a wide range of materials characterization equipment and techniques. + Knowledge of polymer science and processing, with extrusion experience preferred. + Strong analytical skills, excellent technical writing abilities, and the capacity to manage multiple projects effectively. + Experience working in regulated industries such as medical devices is advantageous.
