The Starbucks experience starts in our Roasting Plants where we have a dedicated team of professional roasters and supporting process teams including planning, warehouse management, packaging, roasting, maintenance, engineering and logistics. _As a_ senior engineer _, you will:_ u2022 Assesses the benefits of engineering technology and method changes to manufacturing operations by using problemu2011solving and alternative analysis to evaluate financial and operational impact. u2022 Integrates engineering principles and resolves technical obstacles for engineering projects. u2022 Evaluates critical information to make effective decisions and recommendations. u2022 Develops requests for proposals and conducts bid analyses, leads contract negotiations, and manages project budgets. u2022 Designs and implements engineering solutions to improve efficiency, increase capacity, and reduce costs; builds consensus across functions as the project team leader on complex projects and initiatives. u2022 Develops project plans that define scope, schedule, budget, business impact, and risks; executes plans by identifying obstacles, gaining alignment, and driving issues to resolution. u2022 Oversees facility maintenance and automation specialists while performing plant engineering work. u2022 Promotes strong working relationships and mentors lessu2011experienced engineering partners. u2022 Develops and implements advanced processesu2014including predictive maintenance techniquesu2014to measure, analyze, and improve equipment performance (reliability), and communicates prioritization of plant performance improvement projects. u2022 Collaborates with maintenance and operations partners to enhance preventative maintenance (PM) processes and process control systems, continuously incorporating new knowledge to improve reliability and performance. u2022 Manages mediumu2011 to largeu2011scale capital projects, applying technical expertise and projectu2011management methods through design, construction, and commissioning. u2022 Oversees detailed rootu2011cause analyses of reliability issues. _Weu2019d love to hear from people with:_ u2022 Engineering (electrical, mechanical, chemical or industrial) (3 years) u2022 Engineering design and implementation in particular area of specialization (5 years) u2022 Order management system (if supporting Distribution) (5 years) u2022 Performance metrics development and root cause analysis (5 years) u2022 Warehouse or inventory system implementation (if supporting Distribution) (3 years) u2022 Project management (1 year) u2022 Strategic planning u2022 Consumer products or food company and plant experience, either technical or production u2022 Supervision, including direct supervision of contractors u2022 Ability to apply knowledge of multidisciplinary business principles and practices to achieve successful outcomes in cross-functional projects and activities u2022 Team-building skills u2022 Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing u2022 Ability to work independently u2022 Results-oriented u2022 Solid distribution operations or transportation skills (if supporting Distribution) u2022 Ability to provide leadership, with the ability to coach and mentor team partners u2022 Project management skills, including measurement, reporting and financial analysis As a Starbucks partner, you (and your family) will have access to medical, dental, vision, basic and supplemental life insurance, and other voluntary insurance benefits.
