Sr. Accountant

Description We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team on a long-term contract basis. This role involves working in a dynamic healthcare environment and requires a strong background in financial management and accounting practices. Based in Woburn, Massachusetts, this position offers a hybrid work schedule with on-site work from Monday to Thursday and remote work every Friday. Responsibilities: u2022 Prepare and oversee monthly financial close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. u2022 Maintain general ledger accounts by reviewing and posting journal entries. u2022 Reconcile accounts, including bank reconciliations, to identify and resolve discrepancies. u2022 Analyze financial statements and provide insights to support business decisions. u2022 Ensure compliance with accounting standards and organizational policies. u2022 Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and validate financial data. u2022 Utilize NetSuite to manage and streamline accounting operations. u2022 Monitor and improve internal accounting processes for efficiency. u2022 Prepare reports and documentation required for audits or financial reviews. u2022 Support other accounting-related tasks as needed to meet organizational goals. Requirements u2022 Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting, preferably within the healthcare industry. u2022 Proficiency in month-end close processes and general ledger maintenance. u2022 Strong skills in preparing and posting journal entries. u2022 Experience with account and bank reconciliations. u2022 Familiarity with NetSuite or similar accounting software. u2022 Knowledge of accounting principles and regulatory requirements. u2022 Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. u2022 Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a hybrid work setting.
