Reach out directly to Sneha at Call/Text 317 - 548- 1234 About the Role We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our Womenu2019s Health Clinic located within a hospital setting. This role supports a patient volume of approximately 120u2013150 patients per month, with daily responsibilities varying based on clinic flow, scheduled visits, and walk-ins. The ideal candidate is upbeat, positive, and eager to step in wherever needed to support consistent patient flow and excellent patient care. Key ResponsibilitiesPrimary Clinical Support u2013 30% + Room patients and assist providers during exams + Obtain and document vital signs (BP, weight, temperature) + Collect and record medical history, symptoms, and concerns + Ensure accurate entry of clinical data in the EMR Diagnostic & Testing Support u2013 25% + Set up for and assist providers with various procedures + Perform point-of-care testing, including: + Urinalysis + Strep, flu, and pregnancy tests + Other specialty-specific tests as directed Administrative & Patient Coordination u2013 10% + Schedule tests, radiology exams, and specialist appointments + Complete check-in/check-out documentation within EMR + Conduct prior authorizations as needed + Coordinate with referral specialists regarding insurance requirements Exam Assistance & Records Management u2013 10% + Assist with exams and collect height, weight, BMI, and other key measurements + Update immunization records and patient information Phone Triage & Patient Communication u2013 10% + Respond to patient medical questions and call-backs + Communicate test results as directed + Manage prescription refills via fax/call/electronic transmission Walk-In Patient Support u2013 10% + Perform triage for walk-in patients + Assist with vital signs, urinalysis, and gathering medical history + Respond promptly to patient needs and coordinate provider communication Customer Service & Clinic Support u2013 10% + Serve as a resource to visitors, providers, and staff + Greet patients and guests courteously and professionally + Uphold the Mission and Values of the organization in all interactions Additional Duties u2013 5% + Complete tasks assigned by the Practice Administrator, site provider, or VP of Physician Practices Compliance & Safety u2013 5% + Adhere to all hospital policies, guidelines, and regulations + Follow Blood and Body Substance Precautions and safety protocols Required Qualifications + Active CMA (AAMA), RMA, NCMA, or CCMA certification + Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant training program (or equivalent experience) + High school diploma or GED + Ability to stand for long periods + Positive, outgoing attitude and willingness to u201cjump inu201d as needed + Strong interpersonal and communication skills Preferred Qualifications + 2u20133 years of experience as a CMA + Experience in Womenu2019s Health or Family Practice + Point-of-care testing + Experience with Cerner or other EMR systems Skills & Competencies + Medical Assisting + EMR/Electronic Health Records + Patient Care + CMA Certification + Appointment Scheduling + Internal Medicine Exposure + BLS Certification + Cerner or EMR proficiency INTERESTED IN THIS ROLE?
